I make cakes.

Holy negligence Batman!

Tastyface was like the Noble Experiment of blogs. The founders were excited, the public was skeptical and then it was given up all together.

I loved Tastyface, and I knew it could be something greater than the sum of its parts. But summer ended and I guess our faces weren't so tasty anymore.

But still I cooked! And still I baked! And still I learned new recipes, and fed myself on viennoises in Paris and lamb stew in Dublin and döners in Berlin.

The meat! It's conical!

Really, you have no idea how much that delights me.

But I digress.

Anyway, I've been into experimental baking lately. There've been some interesting cinnamon cookies, among other things, but mostly variations on the cake recipe I shared in this post, so many months ago.

First there was a blackberry cake for my host parents' anniversary:

Then there was my magnum opus, a banana cake with Nutella swirls:

And today, I made a chocolate cake using Dannettes, which are a delicious French pudding cup type dealy.

So there you have it folks.

Is this post the death rattle of Tastyface?

Only time will tell.
